Starting from 10th February 2025, the BFM Library has activated an annual subscription to the Enterprise version of the Rayyan platform for professors and students of the School of Medicine. Rayyan is useful for conducting systematic reviews and other literature syntheses.
You can find a guide to its main features on their website (https://help.rayyan.ai/hc/en-us/categories/21833787661073-Rayyan) and FAQs (https://help.rayyan.ai/hc/en-us/categories/360003671417-FAQ). The Rayyan YouTube channel is available at: https://www.youtube.com/@Rayyanapp/videos. The guides and videos are helpful for understanding the advanced features that add to those available in the basic version of the tool.
Rayyan allows you to:
- import large datasets of references from the bibliographic databases, performing guided deduplication of the results;
- conduct collaborative screening of the results, using functions such as blind screening, chat, pilot datasets, keyword citation search related to possible inclusions/exclusions, ranking the remaining citations based on previous decisions, uploading full texts;
- use tools like PICO and PRISMA to facilitate and document the screening process.
To use Rayyan Enterprise, you need to register with an email domain ending in unito.it or edu.unito.it on their site: https://rayyan.ai/users/sign_up
The accounts of those who have already registered with a UNITO email address have been automatically upgraded to the "Enterprise" version. You will find all your previously loaded reviews by accessing the platform through this link: https://rayyan.ai/users/sign_in .
If you registered with a different account (e.g., private Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail), you must first create a new account using UNITO credentials. Then you should write an email to Support@Rayyan.ai requesting migration of your account and its content onto your new UNITO account.
Detailed instructions for managing and utilizing the platform are available in the document at the bottom of this page.
